New Year’s Eve, at the stroke of midnight, standing on the bridge spanning Cheyenne Lake at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Anders got down on one knee and sweetly proposed spending the rest of his life with Julie. Of course Julie replied “yes”, embraced her beloved fiancé, and then strained to see her engagement ring in the dark – to no avail! Quick, find a lamppost – must inspect the engagement ring immediately! Too dark still! (Although it was now evident that the diamond was über sparkly and magnificent!) Scurry into the hotel lobby next to the glowing fireplace and stare at the perfect solitaire in a diamond-induced trance. Julie is barely able to resist the urge to flaunt her ring to all who pass by for them to admire as well.
Since Anders is a native of Sweden; the diamond education process was even more involved than it is for the average American male. In Sweden, when couples become engaged, they exchange simple gold bands; so, the entire American engagement tradition was all new to Anders. The staff at Williams Jewelers were incredibly accommodating and helpful (not to mention Sweet Pea’s friendly guidance). After Anders learned all about diamonds and determined precisely what he was looking for, the staff at Williams Jewelers began shipping in diamonds from across the country for Anders’ inspection.
Most Saturdays for many months Anders visited Williams and carefully examined the latest arrivals until he found the diamond that met his every desire – and then Williams Jewelers designed a magnificent platinum band to showcase the flawless precious gem. After the proposal, Anders and Julie knew they would be able to find their ideal wedding bands at Williams, and Kay was so patient as she helped them make their choices. Kay generously covered the cost of engraving the engagement ring and wedding bands – too thoughtful! Williams Jewelers remains Anders’ and Julie’s jewelry store of choice and they recommend it to family and friends who are looking for quality merchandise and exceptional customer service.
