How we Met
Nick and I met a little over three years ago at a houseparty in Washington, DC. I had gone with a few of my girlfriends and he was there with his two roommates. Our groups of friends hit it off rightaway, and Nick and I wound up talking the entire night. Little did I know one of the girls who lived in the house had a huge crush on Nick. She had her friend come over and insist that Nick stop talking to me right now because the girl who lived at the house was very upset. So Nick asked for my number, and then apologized that he was going to stop talking to me because he didn’t want to hurt the girls feelings. I thought to myself, well that guy is kinda weird. But he wound up asking me out a few days later and my friendins isted I go because she thought we hit it off. I guess she was right, since we are still together!
How Nick Proposed
Nick and I recently took a trip to Northern Spain. About half way through the trip we were touring the La Rioja Wine Region. We drove by a Bodega that overlooked the entire valley and Nick suggested that we stop in to check it out. Although the winery appeared closed, a nice guy who worked there decided to let us in to try some of the wine and take a look around. Nick asked if we could take our glasses out back to their deck and the employee said of course. While standing outside, Nick pointed to the sky and was like what is that over there?! When I turned back to face him he was on his knee holding a box with beautiful ring from your store,Williams Jewelers. He said he had a question to ask me, and then asked me to marry him. I said: are you sure? and then of course yes! After we had a moment to ourselves the owner of the winery came out to congratulate us and brought us a huge bottle of their wine as a gift. A few days later in Madrid, we shipped the wine home so that we could enjoy it with our family andfriends.
